The Pokémon Company International unveiled an advertisement that will air during Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, February 7th.

The advertisement urges viewers to “Train On.” Shot in Rio de Janeiro, the ad explores the ambition, drive, and training concepts that are associated with the Pokémon games that we all know and love. The 60-second video is interesting, featuring children and young adults from around the world mentioning the statement, “I can do that” as they prepare for a showdown at the end of the commercial.

The commercial will air at the beginning of the third quarter on Super Bowl Sunday. The version featured here is the extended version that clocks in at 60 seconds. The advertisement that will air on February 7th during the Super Bowl will be a cut down version that will run a shorter, 30 seconds.

The Pokémon 20 website also features messages from fans about their love for the role-playing games. These messages include memories, videos and pictures that express people’s feelings for the franchise. The website also features some shout-outs from celebrities.

2016 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. The Pokémon Company is using this commercial to spread awareness and excitement for the franchise. In addition to the Super Bowl advertisement, Pokémon has a lot more to celebrate, perhaps even including special-edition 3DS hardware, re-releases of classic games, and more.
