The “Tower Offense” game Anomaly Warzone Earth has gotten a sequel.11 Bit Studios has announced that Anomaly Korea is coming soon to Android and iOS devices. The sequel to the popular “tower offense” game that received an Apple Design Award will feature new units, new player powers, a tactical map, 12 new missions and new “Art of War” trials as you battle waves upon waves of alien invaders.
“I’m very proud of the progress we’ve made with the Anomaly franchise,” said Grzegorz Miechowski, managing director at 11 Bit Studios, “I hope the fans and new players will have great fun playing it.”
The first game in the series, Anomaly Warzone Earth, got overwhelmingly positive reviews and was praised for having better controls than even the PC version, featuring gameplay similar to a real-time strategy game like Command and Conquer mixed with traditional tower defense games. Not only do you have to defend your own camp, you can also attack your enemies’ setups.
Miechowski says both versions will be available at the same time via Google Play and Apple’s App Store. We’re not quite sure when that will be, only adding that the game is coming “soon.” In the meantime, check out the announcement trailer.
