Three versions of Halo Legends set to drop February 9th

For those of us that just can’t get enough of Halo, or the story at least, Warner Entertainment will be releasing the Halo Legends series of short films about the Halo universe on February 9th, 2010. A special edition will be released for DVD as well as Blu-ray version for those of you who want a higher quality picture (or you just want to see Halo on a PlayStation 3), and also a standard one disc DVD version. The special edition Blu-ray version will cost you $34.99, while the DVD version will run 29.98, and if you just want the movie without all the extras the one disc DVD version will run $19.98, so you have a few choices to pick from if you decide to buy it. Digital downloads will also be available. Here is a little bit of info about what the package include.

“The SE — available on DVD and Blu-ray — is a 2-disc joint, featuring “Making Of” segments for each episode, as well as an exploratory piece on how Halo has progressed since it’s Xbox days (“Halo: Gaming Evolved”), audio commentary with Frank O’Connor and Joseph Chou, and widescreen format.

The Blu-ray version of the SE package will include an even more extra bonus called “Halo: the Story So Far,” which documents the fiction from the original game to Halo 3. The standard DVD, on the other hand, will just have the episodes.”
