The Witcher Series Surpasses 25 Million Copies Sold

CD Projekt Red have released their sales from last year and The Witcher series is doing incredibly well. With over 25 million copies sold, it proves The Witcher is a powerhouse of a franchise.

CD Projekt Red have proved time and time again that they deserve to be on top. With The Witcher series putting up real numbers it’s only a matter of time before the company stands tall with Bethesda, Rockstar, and other massive open-world developers.

The company currently has their focus on GWENT: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077.  These sales led several investors to ask about the future of The Witcher series. Company co-founder Michał Kiciński responded with the following.

“The Witcher was designed as a trilogy. Trilogy cannot have a fourth part, however we like that world very much. We have invested 15 years of our lives and loads of money into it and we will probably think about it at some point. But please consider us as rational people, we sometimes have weird ideas, but overall our thinking is very rational. We have full rights to The Witcher games. They are ours. We have invested enormous funds into promoting it, and it’s a very strong brand. Answer your own question.”

While there are no details on the game, it would be safe to assume CD Projekt Red will be releasing a trailer at E3 for Cyberpunk 2077.
