The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Artwork Graces March Cover of Game Informer

Earlier this week, online news hub Kotaku speculated that the upcoming March issue of Game Informer would announce the arrival of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The conjecture has since been confirmed by the magazine.

Thanks to a download of the March issue, available to some digital subscribers of the magazine, the appearance of Geralt and an elusive companion on horseback had CD Projekt RED’s RPG-loving fans casting their own illusions of what was to come for the game’s newest installation. Among the predictions, as Kotaku broke the story, was a post by forum member and Zinio subscriber “Indigo_Cyclops”, who listed an inside look at what was yet to come on a NeoGAF thread.

Descriptions included travel by horseback—a necessity for traversing an open-world—which was also allegedly 20% bigger than found in Skyrim, no chapters or acts, new streaming technology via CDRED Engine 3, and the restoration of Geralt’s memory.

The following announcement by Game Informer actually boasts a setting 30 times larger than its predecessor, thanks to a new REDengine 3 technology that is making its first appearance with this latest title. Check out the full version of the March issue cover and its additional artwork below.
