The Walking Dead: Season 2 Given Fall 2013 Release Window

Contrary to previous reports of a 2014 release date, TellTale Games has re-confirmed that The
Walking Dead: Season Two is in fact set for a Fall 2013 release. After The Walking Dead: Season One won Best Story at the BAFTA Game Awards, TellTale CEO Dan Connors told
Eurogamer “We’re aiming for fall of next year.”

TellTale later clarified with the following statement:

“The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking
Dead is for fall of ‘this’ year (2013), and not ‘next’ year (2014) as has been
reported after a recent interview. We apologize for any confusion and thank
you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale’s series.”

This lines up with series story consultant Gary Whitta’s tease to IGN
that “there may be something in the works as we speak that will make the
wait for Season 2 slightly less agonizing” promotes the idea that this added
content could arrive much sooner than previously thought as he mentioned
that players “won’t have to wait for Season 2 to play more Walking Dead.

Provided Whitta isn’t speaking of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct – a
shooter from Activision for PS3, 360, PC and Wii U – it only suggests that
new content may possibly be seen in late Spring or late Summer 2013 and so we
can all reassume our Walking Dead positions: sitting on the edge of our
seats.
