The days of the Xbox 360 getting RROD is over, as a Microsoft has found a solution to that. By not adding more fans or taking the more then qualified advice of the consumers who fixed the problem themselves without waiting for a replacement.
They gave the new Xbox 360 Slim a brain so to speak.
The Slim will now have the ability to know when it isn’t being properly ventilated. It will give you a message on the screen saying that it is preparing to shut down and that it can be turned on when it has cooled itself down.
Nobody has said whether this will happen during gameplay or what have you. Below is a screen shot of what happens before shut down?
