Start Your Engines! The Crew Races to Xbox 360

The release date for The Crew, Ubisoft’s MMO racing adventure, has been announced to hit store shelves this November, but the real shocker behind the game’s delivery to street racing fans lies in one of its destinations.

Ubisoft, alongside The Crew’s Xbox 360 version developers at Asobo Studio, said that they will be releasing the game for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox 360 on November 11th. The companies also have a few beta tests lined up on Aug. 25 for the PC. A console beta is set to occur later this year as well.

In regards to The Crew being playable for the Xbox 360, Ubisoft reveals it had some urges that just couldn’t be ignored.

“The Crew was originally built for the new generation of consoles, but we have always had a desire to make it accessible to as many people as possible. We’re excited to bring The Crew’s same core features, massive scope, mission variety and overall driving experience to Xbox 360 players,” Ubisoft Senior Vice President Tony Key said.

“It’s Ubisoft’s objective to continue to meet the needs of consumers who have not yet made the move to the new console generation.”

The latest trailer for The Crew showcases a lot of, well, action-packed racing. The concept of the drop-in and drop-out racing venue comes through pretty clear here, and the highly cinematic race tracks that players will be able to burn rubber around are absolutely a sight to see on its own. Players will be racing throughout all of the United States and the game will also capitalize on allowing for tracks in major cities such as New York and in Los Angeles.
