TGS ‘10: Ninja Gaiden 3 Confirmed

Earlier today, VideoGamer.com released an image depicting the announcement of Ninja Gaiden 3 from Team Ninja at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Apparently the title is being revealed and displayed behind closed doors, which means you probably shouldn’t expect to find out too much information regarding the title just yet.

According to the website, fans of the series can expect Ryu to finally take off his mask and display a more human side to his character. It’s also believed that Team Ninja plans on making the 3rd installment into this franchise even darker and more bloodier than ever before. Furthermore, there is reason to suspect that Ryu shall be venturing into the depths of his own hell in order to kick some major ass. While that’s not entirely original anymore, it’s a nice change up from what fans of the title generally expect.

This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone as last year the new boss of Team Ninja, Yosuke Hayashi, confirmed that Ninja Gaiden would be returning and it would be available on multiple platforms.

“We feel that we’re in a position of being able to make that call, and to provide pure entertainment that’s going to be enjoyed by action gamers and our fans,” he said. “That calling is already there – we feel it, and therefore we will continue to work towards a future for the series.”

Is this one of those games that gets you excited or is this just a ‘meh’ announcement for you?
