What Does Team17 Have Up Their Sleeve For E3?

Award-winning veteran games developer and international games label Team17 has confirmed their presence for this year’s E3 event which takes place from June 13th to the 15th at the Convention Center in sunny Los Angeles.

The UK based publisher and developer revealed today the arsenal of games they plan on showing at the yearly gaming event. Team17 will be showcasing a diverse list of games, ensuring something for everyone:

First up is Aven Colony. A Mothership Entertainment developed sci-fi city-builder. The game takes places on the fictitious Aven prime, an alien world filled with deserts, tundras and wetlands. It’s up to gamers to build and maintain they settlement along with their resources in order to survive. Obviously, being a new planet, don’t expect to be alone as it’s filled with unique alien life forms.

Next up is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning sandbox prison-escape game: The Escapists 2. It will improve upon its predecessor with new items to craft, a revamped combat system, new cutomisation. This sequel will also introduce multiplayer components to the series.

And then there’s Genesis Alpha One. As the Captain of a Genesis starship, players will venture into uncharted territory as Earth has been devastated by wars, corrupt regimes, global capitalism, natural resource over-exploitation and pollution. Players will need to manage a space vessel, farm resources, deal with alien infestations, clone creatures all the while exploring a randomly generated universe on their way to their ulimate goal: Save humanity’s DNA from extinction.

And finally, there’s the recently announced Yoku’s Island Express. This new and unique title features a mix of two genres that couldn’t be more different than one another: pinball and platforming. Players will throw around the game’s pint-sized protagonist, Yoku the Dung Beetle, on their quest to rebuild the post-office and wake up and old god from it’s deep sleep.
