NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is a lot of things, but nobody expected “supporter of a Shaq Fu remake” to be one of them.
When a teaser for Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, most folks online didn’t know whether or not it was a joke or serious, but now there’s an Indiegogo page set up, and Shaq himself appeared at SXSW to promote it, so yes, it’s very serious.
While there, Shaq even got in a game of the original Shaq Fu against TechZulu host Chris Denson.
The dev team (Big Deez Productions) has promised a complete retooling of the game you grew up with against the game they’re working on now. Shaq sports a more cartoonish, over-the-top style as he faces hordes of ninjas. Here’s a trailer the Big Deez team has shared with us:
