SteelSeries Announces New Line of Siberia Gaming Headsets

It’s been over a decade since SteelSeries dropped their award-winning Siberia headset loine, and while we were enthralled by the controller and Eye Tracker they showed us at E3, we’re beyond ecstatic that SteelSeries has returned to what they do best: awesome gaming headsets.

We’re excited to officially announce the new Siberia family of headsets! Since 2003, “Siberias” have always offered amazing comfort and performance that millions of gamers across the world have experienced.

The revamped Siberia lineup will feature 4 headsets, ranging in price from $99 to $299, all of which are available for either order or pre-order today.

Let’s get down to nitty-gritty and go over some of the new headsets in greater detail, shall we?

SteelSeries White

SteelSeries Siberia v3 ($99.99 / €99,99)

Up first, this headset leads the line-up with its fantastically comfortable Siberia suspension design. The headset’s  audioscape and general fit have been reconstructed with brand new audio drivers for a powerful dosage of booming bass and noise-reducing memory foam ear cushions. The new cushions promise even more sound isolation than ever before! Don’t worry about setting this beast up; wiring is kept to a minimum with a single-plug cable and a dual-jack extension which means the headset can be used on all types of gaming devices from PCs, laptops, mobile devices and consoles. This headset will be available in two standard colors: black and white.

SteelSeries Siberia v3 Prism ($139.99 / €139,99)

Though we’re not entirely sure this many colors exist in the world, SteelSeries boasts that the Siberia v3 Prism offers well over 16.8 million color choices for the outer mesh-pattern on the ear cups. In addition to the standard v3 headset, the Prism boasts a whole array of new features: Unlimited profile settings that can be saved and accessed from anywhere via SteelSeries CloudSync, microphone noise suppression and microphone auto compression to optimize voice communication automatically, digital audio quality with custom EQ, and lastly, ColorShift illumination effects that can be triggered by game sounds and events. That last feature sounds like serious business!

SteelSeries v3

Siberia Elite Prism ($199.99 / €199,99)

Standing as the biggest and baddest – and most expensive – headset, the Siberia Elite Prism features a band new, slimmer microphone and an upgraded sound card that improves the clarity of what you hear, but more importantly when playing with others, how you are heard! As the most comfortable of the new headsets, the Elite Prism has top-notch ear cushioning to ensure players can game longer without getting that usual, irritating itch and pressing-pain on the ears. Lastly, the Elite Prism also delivers Dolby Headphone® and Dolby Pro Logic IIx® technologies for up to a virtual 7.1-channel surround soundscape. Okay, we lied. What’s more, there’s also customizable illumination and audio settings, and a swappable cable system that allows gamers to use the headset on all the different gaming devices out there!

SteelSeries Elite

Siberia RAW Prism ($59.99 / €59,99)

This headset offers the most economical price with such a lightweight design that you’ll probably forget there’s a headset resting on top of your head and over your ears! The SteelSeries speaker drivers push out a full range of sound with crisp detail. Powered by SteelSeries Engine software, gamers can customize and back up audio profiles, while the illuminated ring on each earcup can be customized with 16.8 million color options. There’s also a built-in microphone with Mic Auto Optimization technology. You probably guesses it, but this means a clearer voice when communication is necessary online. Oh! There’s even a trusty microphone mute button in case you were wondering. Like all Siberia headsets, the RAW Prism is compatible with all gaming devices such as PC and PlayStation 4.
