PC gaming’s biggest retailer is now in the middle of their biggest sale of the year. The Steam Holiday Sale is now underway, running until January 5th, promising huge savings throughout the store with daily deals, sudden flash sales, and discounts on games throughout their massive catalog. Gamers will vote on select games to go on sale every 12 hours. Should go great with that new Big Picture mode.
So far, so good: some of the games on sale today include Mirror’s Edge for just $4.99, 50% to 75%-off discounts on games in the Hitman, Borderlands and Prince of Persia franchises, Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition for $7.49, the Indie Super Mega Pack that includes 30 games – such as Cave Story, Limbo, and Super Meat Boy – for $70, and 25% off games like Dishonored and The Walking Dead.
Obviously, those are all very, VERY good deals… and many of the games on sale work on both Windows and Mac operating systems.
The company is also using the sale to promote the new Steam Mobile App for iOS and Android, which lets you organize your Steam Wishlist and be notified via Steam Mobile and/or email when a game from the list goes on sale as a Daily Deal.
