The new Big Picture update allows users to change the interface of Steam in a click of a button. This allows a better user interface optimized for your television set. Big Picture was also made with the controller in mind and was designed around that. Don’t fret just yet, as there is still your standard mouse and keyboard controls as well.

“PC gaming continues to be the leading edge of entertainment, whether it’s social gaming, MMOs, graphics hardware, free-to-play, or competitive gaming,” said Gabe Newell, president of Valve. “With Big Picture for Steam, we are trying to do our part to give customers and developers what they want – their games, everywhere, optimized for the environment in which they are playing.”

Big Picture has everything you know and love from Steam, including the Steam Store, Steam Community and your Steam Library. There is also a brand new web browser designed for your TV and controller.
