During Blizzard‘s Q&A yesterday, they showcased a new trailer for Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, the first full expansion pack for Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty.
The video shows Sarah Kerrigan’s struggle and eventual betrayal to her fellow soldiers and friends. You will be able to play as Kerrigan and everything you witness will be from her perspective. The expansion itself will focus on the Zerg and will take place in the year 2506, two years after Wings of Liberty. Kerrigan must now unite the Zerg and regain her leadership among them, in her human form.

Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm will include seven new multiplayer units, including the Hellbat, Swarm Host, and Tempest. The regular and deluxe edition are both up for pre-order, as well as a collector’s edition, which is similar to the Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty collector’s edition.
Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty launched in 2010, with the intent of being a trilogy. Heart of the Swarm is scheduled to be released on March 12, with the third expansion pack, Legacy of the Void, to be released at a later date, most likely in a few years.
