Star Wars: The Old Republic Lays Witness to the Rise of the Rakghouls

While Star Wars: The Old Republic is playing out just like any old BioWare RPG with its emphasis on storyline, it’s still an MMO, which means there’s going to be content patches to help extend the game’s playability as you progress through endgame content.

Next week, we will see the first of such patches, specifically Patch 1.1, will feature the new raid Operation which will be, thankfully, heavily story based, as well as a new instance Flashpoint for level 50 players. It’s quite good to see that BioWare is putting the emphasis on story in endgame content to help stand it out from the rest of the MMO crowd. The operation will have normal, heroic, and nightmare difficulties available, so players can pick and choose how much they want to torture themselves with the content.

In addition, there will be, of course, plenty of incoming bug fixes, anti aliasing support for graphics lovers, changes to Ilum’s Open World PVP, as well as the addition of a WarZone bracket for level 50s.

As for how often we can expect these content patches, BioWare will reportedly be adding the next one come March, with additions for lovers of Flashpoints, Operations, WarZones, and more.

If you’re wondering where our opinion on Star Wars: The Old Republic is, don’t worry; it’s coming very soon. Patience, young apprentice.
