Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures Celebrates Over 8 Million Players; Republic and Separatists Still Not BFFs

First came the movie. Then the TV series. Then the video game.

Today, that video game, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, celebrated its first birthday with the announcement James Earl Jones knocked out Hayden Christensen for crying over Padmé that the game features over 8 million players

Clone Wars Adventures is a free-to-play MMORPG, developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by Lucas Arts, which takes place in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. Players are able to partake in various mini games and visit several areas within the temple, but must pay a monthly subscription for the full game experience, as is the case with similar “freemium” titles.

To further celebrate, Sony Online Entertainment is offering the following:

– 5000 Galactic Credits to anyone who logs in between September 12th and September 16th
– Anyone who logs in on September 16th will receive the “Vigilance,” Captain Rex’s chrome plated pistol, and the “Negotiator,” Captain Rex’s other chrome plated pistol.

So log in and join Anakin Skywaler, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and others as the celebrate the first of many years in Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures.

As for that TV series, the new season begins on September 16th, featuring a civil war on Mon Calamari. Fans of the series are able to log into Clone Wars Adventures and play Mission on Iceberg 3 to play through a scenario setting up the plot for the season premiere.
