Leading up to its release tomorrow, Square Enix and developer IO Interactive have released a launch trailer for Hitman HD: Trilogy.
Available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, the collection comes with the three Hitman titles which were released on console: Hitman 2, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money. Additionally, gamers who did not preorder Hitman: Absolution will get their first crack at Hitman: Sniper Challenge, a standalone sniping game.
The trailer also mentions the game’s included limited edition art book, which includes a series of original artworks based on reinterpretations of some of the franchise’s “hits.”
IO Interactive has been the studio behind the Hitman series ever since it debuted in 2000 on PC. The Danish developers have also worked on the Kane & Lynch series, 2009’s Mini Ninjas, and the 2003 third person action-shooter Freedom Fighters.
Following the critical success of Absolution, IO looks to usher in a new wave of Hitman fans who may have missed Agent 47’s first console adventures in 2002 and 2004.
Neither Square Enix nor IO Interactive has confirmed a release for PC for the Hitman HD Trilogy.
