Square Enix Confirms Murdered: Soul Suspect for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360

After yesterday’s teaser trailer, Square Enix has confirmed that Murdered: Soul Suspect will be released for Xbox 360, PC, and Playstation 3, sometime early next year.  Murdered will put players in the middle of some detective work, but with a twist: Players must solve the case for their own violent death, as opposed to that of someone else.  Gamers will control the main character’s ghost, searching for clues in what appears, based on the yesterday’s trailer, to be a city environment, nice and dark, perfect for a crime noir tale.

As with this man’s face, little has been revealed so far about this title.

Other than this tidbit, there is little information available as to the game’s content.  Only now directly confirmed, speculation has been floating around for quite some time, with Square Enix releasing small amounts of information, clues, so to speak, about the game through Twitter, at twitter.com/murdered, as well as through Facebook, at facebook.com/murdered.  Thus far, no developer has been named.

The trailer itself also leaves gamers guessing, as it shows simply sequences revolving around your murder, and sports the tag line “The hardest murder to solve is your own.”  This short video is all we get for now apparently on this action adventure game.  You can check out the teaser trailer for Murdered above.
