Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa to Perform at Call of Duty XP

Activision has recently announced that Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa will be the closing the Call of Duty XP fan event on September 4th.

The two artists have recently paired together for the High Road Tour, which marks the first time these musical powerhouses have toured together. Most will know Snoop Dogg as the celebrity who famously smoked a joint during EA’s Battlefield 1 stream. Wiz Khalifa, on the other hand, has been nominated for both a Grammy award and a Golden Globe among other accolades.

Tickets are available for the special concert and for the rest of Call of Duty XP here. Other notable events at the convention will include the reveal of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer mode, a life-sized Nuketown paintball arena, and the CoD World League Championship.

Rob Kostich, EVP and general manager at Activision, stated that:

[blockquote cite=”Activision”]Call of Duty XP is the ultimate Call of Duty fan experience. From the game reveals led by Infinite Warfare multiplayer to the Call of Duty-inspired live experiences to the $2 million Call of Duty Championship finale, there’s something for everyone. It’s going to be an amazing time for our fans, even more so now with Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa there to cap this epic, multi-day event.[/blockquote]

Perhaps this will be the event that finally gets Infinite Warfare off the ground. Last May, the premier trailer for the game became one of the most disliked videos on YouTube. That trailer is now currently sitting at over 3 million downvotes. Earlier this August, a trailer detailing the Zombies in Spaceland mode was released to some acclaim. We will have to wait and see if Call of Duty XP and the Zombie mode will be enough to bring players back into the franchise. In the meantime, be sure to stick around to the Game Fanatics for your gaming news!
