PS3 owners, get ready to step back into the land of Skyrim with today’s release of the Dragonborn DLC.Developer Bethesda announced today that Dragonborn, the latest downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is now available in the PlayStation Store. Even better, as a way to seemingly apologize for all of the trouble PS3 owners have gone through, it’s priced at $9.99, which is 50% off, during launch week.
In Dragonborn, Skyrim players will journey off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim, learning new shouts that can even tame dragons, as you build toward an encounter with the very first person to hold the title of Dragonborn. You’ll learn how to ride dragons, get some new trophies to earn, and meet the Ebony Warrior, who is without a doubt the toughest enemy in the game. And he’s not even the final boss.
If you’re looking for the rest of the DLC that has already graced PC and Xbox 360 users, you won’t have long to wait. Bethesda says Skyrim‘s Hearthfire and Dawnguard packs will be released on February 19th and 26th, respectively.
All of these dates, by the way, are for the North American version of Skyrim for the PS3. If you want the European dates, check out Bethesda‘s blog.
