FINALLY, Skyrim DLC is coming to the PlayStation 3. Sony made the announcement today, adding that Skyrim‘s Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn packs will all be 50% off the week they hit the PlayStation Store (sometime in February, but the exact date isn’t defined yet).
To recap for those of you interested:
Dawnguard adds two new factions for you to join: the vampires and the Dawnguard, a group of vampire slayers with some new areas to explore.
Hearthfire is great for those who like interior decorating; it allows you to build your own home on your own parcel of land.
Dragonborn, considered by some to be the best of the DLC, sends you to a new island on the outskirts of Skyrim with new weapons, enemies, and sidequests, focusing on a new antagonist simply called “The Dragonborn” that can, like you, use Dragon Shouts.
Bethesda’s Pete Hines adds that Dragonborn will hit the PC on February 5th. No word on if that’s the same day the PS3 content comes out or not.
Skyrim’s PS3 DLC woes have been one of many thorns in the side for Bethesda, as they’ve had to deal with performance issues too, causing some PS3 owners to be cautious in supporting the developer in the future.
