Skyrim Add-On Arrives – Hearthfire

The latest news of the hour is the arrival of Hearthfire™. Now available to PC users, the English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions can be downloaded from Steam for $4.99.

In case you’re not cool, and don’t know what Hearthfire is, it is the latest official add-on to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim®. Now that ought to be enough reason for a vast majority of you to care, but we all know internet goers aren’t known for their patience, so here’s a peek at what you’re going to be looking at: With this new content, you can purchase land and build your own home – from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use new tools like the drafting table and carpenter’s workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings.  You can even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

That’s quite a lot of content that really expands the strength of The Elder Scrolls series: immersion and realism. If you’re a true fan of the series, it’s likely these attributes that draw you in. I predict a good deal of excitement from true fans of this decorated series.
