Shogun 2 PC specs released

The next title in the epic PC strategy series, Total War, will bring users back to the franchise’s roots in feudal Japan. Shogun 2: Total War promises a vast campaign waging war with armies of Samurai warriors while managing resources and production in key strategic regions.

One of the Total War series’ defining characteristics is sprawling battlefields with thousands of units. To render the various polygonal models, detailed environments and animations, the games have always been system hogs. Recently, the Creative Assembly released the game’s specifications, giving users an early heads up if they need to make any upgrades before the title releases in March 2011. The minimum and recommended specifications are listed below:

Minimum Specifications:

CPU: 2 Ghz Intel dual-core processor, 2.6 Ghz single-core processor or AMD equivalent

Memory: 1 GB for XP systems and 2 GB for Vista or Windows 7

GPU: 256 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card

Disk Space: 20 GB

Recommended Specifications:

Memory: 2GB of RAM for XP and 4 GB for Vista or Windows 7 systems
