Shadow Warrior Reimagined for PC and Next Gen Consoles

Shadow Warrior, the cult classic 3D Realms FPS with an Eastern edge, returns in style. Developer Flying Wild Hog (Hard Reset) and indie publisher Devolver Digital (Serious Sam 3: BFE, Hotline Miami, LUFTRAUSERS) are teaming up to reimagine this controversial first person adventure that was originally created by the makers of Duke Nukem 3D.

Check out the teaser trailer:

You take on the role of “corporate shogun” Lo Wang on a mission to acquire an ancient blade called the Nobitsura Kage. Naturally, the blade is connected to all sorts of mystical and evil things leading Lo Wang to master a combination of gun, blade and magic skills to banish the demonic forces threatening to destroy our world. All of your skills can be upgraded, granting you more powerful weapons, spells and katana-wielding combos to dispatch your foes in increasingly stylish (and brutal) ways.

Shadow Warrior 5

“The team here at Flying Wild Hog are longtime fans of the original Shadow Warrior with its unique combat innovations and distinct setting not seen in shooters at that time,” said Michal Szustak, Studio Head at Flying Wild Hog. “The classic arcade-style shooter is a genre we genuinely love, so redesigning the world of Shadow Warrior and the character of Lo Wang has been a fantastic project for the team.”

Shadow Warrior 2

Shadow Warrior will be available digitally this fall for PC through Steam with a “next-gen console release in 2014”. For continuing updates, be sure to follow the official Twitter or visit www.shadowwarrior.com.
