It’s official now. As If playing through The Last of Us wasn’t gut wrenching and exhilarating enough, now you you’re going to have to deal with newly appointed Producer Sam Raimi and his vision for the epic adaptation, which is set to begin production shortly as the film is in very early stages. Along with the official announcement of the film and it’s producer, we also learned that Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams and Evil Dead actor Bruce Campbell are in talks to play Ellie and Joel.
Naughty Dog’s creative director and writer Neil Druckmann will pen the chilling script with minor changes to the overall narrative; according to Druckmann, Naughty Dog will have final say on cast and director for the film. This great news makes The Last of Us: Remastered an even more exciting proposition. We can’t wait for the film to come out but we’re more than satisfied with playing through the game again in glorious 1080p and 60 frames per second.
