Scorpion DLC hits Injustice: Gods Among Us on June 11

We found out earlier this week that Scorpion is coming to Injustice: Gods Among Us. Now we know when.

WB Games and Netherrealm Studios have confirmed that the popular Mortal Kombat character, who got a redesign from DC Comics‘ own Jim Lee – will hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game on June 11th. The Wii U version will, in fact, be receiving all of the game’s DLC (so far, it’s gotten none) sometime this summer, but a specific date hasn’t been nailed down yet.

Scorpion‘s inclusion in Injustice: Gods Among Us should come as little surprise; a forum post claimed to have found the four DLC characters expected to be a part of Injustice a while back, and with this confirmation, that rumor is now 75% true… whether or not General Zod will join the cast is still unknown, but judging as he’s in a fairly big movie opening soon, it’s safe to assume he will.

Scorpion will cost gamers $4.99, or 400 Microsoft Points. If you bought an Injustice Season Pass (again, not available to Wii U owners), he comes free, as do Batgirl, Lobo, the unannounced fourth DLC character, and the game’s Flashpoint Skin Pack.

Check out the reveal trailer here, or watch Jim Lee talk about his character redesign below.
