With the release of Lollipop Chainsaw on the near horizon, we’re graced with a behind the scenes look at the game from writer, James Gunn and creative director, Suda 51.
The inspiration behind the making of Lollipop Chainsaw was an “…image of a zombie get decapitated with blood bursting from his neck, and having a rainbow appear from that shower of blood” Lollipop Chainsaw looks like it will add a very colorful dynamic to the zombie slaying trend with a large handful of over the top action and comedic take on the trend.
The story as described by the writer James Gunn isn’t quite your typical Romeo and Juliet love story although it’s inspired by it.
I think of Lollipop Chainsaw as the old boy meets girl, girl falls in love, boy becomes disembodied head, and then they go on a life killing zombies together and find an even deeper truer love along the way.
I’m curious to see what role the decapitated head of a boyfriend, Nick will add to the gameplay experience.
Look out for Lollipop Chainsaw due out on June 12, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
