Serious Sam is returning to the PC on October 18th, with a 10% discount off the $39.99 price tag when you pre-order through Steam. If October 18th is too long for Serious Sam fans to wait, there is also a Steam sale on all other Serious Sam games right now, so the overly eager can all celebrate. A new trailer has also been released, illustrating the wonderful carnage waiting for us in October.
The over-the-top action and massive amount of enemies is promising to give gamers the nice thick slice of action that they need. 16 player campaign co-op and versus play is also included in the game, with Davor Hunski from Croteam saying,

“We’ve designed a true arcade-style FPS game with the non-stop brutal action the series is known for and our fans have loved for the past decade.”
The game seems to be consciously going against the “First-Person Shooters From Behind Cover” trend, choosing instead to give players a seemingly huge selection of weaponry, and many enemies to blow to smithereens.
