Roccat announced a second mechanical keyboard to their Suora line. The RGB Suora FX mechancial keyboard adds the colorful RGB lights in contrast to the original Suora’s blue LEDs.
The RGB Suora FX sports an aluminum chassis similar to the first Suora model. The overall specs of the keyboard match up almost perfectly with the original. Both keyboards sport a 1,000Hz polling rate, on board media controls, a Gaming Mode, and six programmable macro keys. Both of the Suora models also feature TTC Brown switches, which typically feel like a middle ground between the Red and Blue style switches.
The only true difference is the aforementioned RGB lighting. The improved lighting not only offers an enormous array of color choices. With the Suora FX, the F1-F14 keys offer different lighting effects including, ripple, breathing, wave, or solid.
The original Suora is currently available for $100 while the Suora FX will be out December 6th for $140. Overall, the main difference is the lighting effect and your desire to pick one up may depend on your urge to feel those lights pulsating under your fingers. Gamers interested in blinging out their rig will enjoy the added light effects on the new model.
