Rise of the Tomb Raider makes its way to PS4 after the purgatory of timed exclusivity, and it’s brought with it a treat by way of apology.
The game, which sees Lara becoming the Tomb Raider of the game’s title (strangely absent from the first game), will be released this October. If you pre-order Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4 then you will receive a copy of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition free of charge.
This will give players a chance to relive the reboot in a remastered version, complete with all the DLC added, improved visuals, and a host of new options for multiplayer including new guns, characters, and maps.
Not only this but the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider will have VR support included for the new narrative-centered single player mode ‘Blood Ties’, all previously released DLC, characters, outfits, expedition cards, and weapons. ‘Lara’s Nightmare’ is a horde-style mode that throws waves of zombies at Lara, and ‘Endurance’ is a new co-op mode – both will be included in the PS4 version.
The complete package will carry the ‘20th Anniversary Celebration’ subtitle (we know; we feel old too), and is set to launch on October 11th
