If you were expecting to get some Diablo III action in this morning, you’re sadly unable to do so, but don’t worry, as the downtime won’t be long.
Barring any unforseen circumstances, Blizzard will turn the servers back on, fully updated with patch 1.0.3.
The patch itself is the first major update for the game since launch, with features such as higher repair costs to increase the consequence for dying, increased drop rates for items level 61 to 63 in Hell Act III through Inferno Act IV, a nerf to health for monsters in Infero Act II, III, and IV, and a couple of changes to having five stacks of Nephalem Valor: all champion and elite packs will drop at least one rare item, but only one rare is guaranteed from bosses (down from two).
Blizzard has an official preview handy on the Diablo III website.
Here’s a handy time zone chart for the maintenance window:
The Americas: 3:00 a.m. PDT (6/19) to 1:00 p.m. PDT (6/19)
Europe: 6:00 p.m. PDT (6/19) to 4:00 a.m. PDT (6/20)
Asia: 1:00 p.m. PDT (6/20) to 11:00 p.m. PDT (6/20)
