Blizzard has announced that Reaper of Souls, the upcoming expansion pack for Diablo III, will be available for Windows and Mac on March 25th, 2014.
The first expansion for the dungeon crawler features a fifth act, the all new Crusader class, new abilities and skills, and the all new Mystic and Adventure modes. For those purchasing the game digitally, the standard edition will run you $39.99. A digital deluxe edition, featuring in game items for both Diablo III and World of Warcraft, as well as Battle.net portraits, is available for $59.99. Retail shoppers can pick up the standard edition of Reaper of Souls for $39.99, or a collector’s edition for $79.99. The retail collector’s package will include everything that comes with the digital deluxe edition, plus a Malthael mouse pad, hardcover art book, and behind-the-scenes Blu-Ray/DVD.
Despite its launch troubles, Diablo III went on to sell over 14 million copies across PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
No release date has been announced for the console version of the expansion. An “Ultimate Evil Edition,” which includes both Diablo III and Reaper of Souls, is in development for the PS4. No announcements have been made concerning an Xbox One release at this time.
