Razer have unveiled the new Razer Blade, and no, it’s not something you use to have a shave. It’s their latest laptop, which offers true portability, incredible performance, and a revolutionary user interface.
Razer’s ambition seems to be the mammoth task of ‘encouraging gamers and developers to return to the PC as the primary gaming platform of choice.’ With Battlefield 3 being primarily a PC game, developers interest in the PC as a gaming system is still quite high. But it could certainly be better.
With an Intel Core i7 Processor, and a high performance NVIDIA GeForce graphics processor, this laptop is perfectly capable of keeping up to speed with all your gaming exploits. The LED-backlit HD 17″ display will also make sniping someone in Battlefield as pretty as a poppy field in summer. Rene Haas, General Manager of Notebook Products, NVIDIA, says,
‘Powered by an advanced NVIDIA GeForce GPU with award winning NVIDIA Optimus technology, the Razer Blade has the muscle to run cutting edge games with intense graphics while still offering amazing portability”
The Switchblade User Interface is what caught my eye. Placed sneakily next to the full size keyboard, it’s sole purpose is to give more control to the gamers fingertips. It features 10 adaptive tactile keys, and an LCD panel, which can also display in-game information.
