Rayman Legends is coming to Xbox One and PS4 366 days after it was originally set to arrive on the Wii U.
Ubisoft announced today via a press release that their critically acclaimed platformer will release on Microsoft’s and Sony’s new platforms on February 25th. Said press release also mentioned that this brings Rayman Legends into the next generation, ignoring the fact that it kinda did back in September when it released for the Wii U.
New features include improved loading times between levels (this wasn’t really an issue when we reviewed the game on the Wii U). Both consoles will receive exclusive costumes for both Rayman and Globox. The Xbox One will see Splinter Ray, Ray Vaas, and Globox Vaas. The PlayStation 4 will see Assassin Ray.
In addition, the Xbox One version of the game includes 10 exclusive challenges that unlock time-limited Achievements. The PlayStation 4 version will use the DualShock 4’s touchpad for scratching Lucky Tickets and sharing screenshots and videos. The press release doesn’t make any mention of GamePad-esque Murfy features, something will seem to still work best on the Wii U.
Rayman Legends is currently available for Wii U, PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS Vita. You should really pick it up on Wii U, though.
