Rayman Legends Demo Now Available On Nintendo eShop

Those who were disappointed that Rayman Legends was pushed back from the Wii U’s launch can get a taste of the game now. Ubisoft has made the Rayman Legends demo available on the Nintendo eShop. This is obviously good news for people who were excited about the game, then disappointed to see it delayed until the end of February.

I got a chance to play around with Rayman Legends a while back, and loved it, especially the fast pace, creative ways to use the Wii U GamePad, and vibrant, striking art style. The beautiful, side-scrolling platformer is an exclusive to the Wii U, so Nintendo fans looking for something to play would be well served in at least trying this one out. If it’s anything like Rayman Origins, the first game in the series, it will be nothing short of spectacular.

If racing is more your thing, Sega has also put up a demo for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, their answer to Mario Kart which has proven to be quite fun. The one catch is that Nintendo’s Wii U eShop demos have a limit to how many times you can enjoy them, just like on the 3DS version of the eShop. Rayman‘s demo allows you to play it fully 30 times; Sonic has a play limit of 15. So while it may be enjoyable, the fun found in the Rayman Legends demo won’t last forever. You’ll just have to pick up the game if you want to keep playing.
