Raiders of the Broken Planet Coming To Xbox One X | E3 2017

The developer behind Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series is back with a brand new project, Raiders of the Broken Planet, which has been confirmed for Microsoft’s Xbox One X.

During the Microsoft E3 2017 Media Briefing, one of the games shown was MercurySteam’s newest project: a 4 vs 1 asymmetrical shooter featuring a deep story campaign. It allows players to experience the story from both sides of the fence: Either join the Raiders or play as the lone Antagonist. Despite its asymmetrical characteristic, the developer assures that the game can also be played solo.

Here’s what Enric Alvarez, Head of Studio at MercurySteam and the Game Director had to say:

“We couldn’t be happier to be supporting this powerful, exciting new console from Microsoft. They have been really supportive during the development of the game and we want to make the most of their new technology. Seeing the game on a 4K TV just completely takes your breath away. It’s been really awesome working with this new console, it’s a beast!”

So When Can I Play It?

While Raiders of the Broken Planet was promoted during Microsoft’s briefing, the game will be available later this year for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox One X. The game will also take full advantage of the Xbox One X’s native 4K and HDR support. While we wait for the release date, feel free to sign up for the upcoming closed beta and stick around for more E3 news from The Game Fanatics.
