Square Enix has announced that their first person puzzle game Quantum Conundrum is now available for PC! Developed by Portal Co-Creator Kim Swift’s Airtight Games, the game is now available through various digital retailers for $14.99. There is also a Season Pass available through Steam for $19.99 which gets the game’s soundtrack to download and access to two new maps to be released some time in the near future.
“Quantum Conundrum is one of the most innovative, thought-provoking games of 2012 from one of the great designers of our industry, Kim Swift,” said Mike Fischer, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix, Inc. “We’re proud to bring gamers the next dimension of puzzle games.”
Quantum Conundrum has you taking on the role of a young boy looking for his missing uncle Professor Fitz Quadwrangle, an eccentric inventor. Using the professor’s Inter-Dimensional Shift (IDS) Device you can switch the environment around between up to five different dimensions in order to solve various puzzles. The game was a big hit at E3 with its stylized tongue-in-cheek approach to the first person puzzle genre. And who better to be at the helm than the co-creator of the original Portal? Quantum Conundrum is now available on PC and will make its way to PSN on July 10 and Xbox Live Arcade on July 11.
