PSN Offers Plenty of Bonuses In October

I know what most of you are thinking, but let’s forget about the PSN fiasco earlier this year. Instead, let’s focus on what it’s doing now: giving users worthwhile reasons to log on and spend their hard-earned money. All through the month of October, PSN will be highlighting eight different downloadable titles. To encourage a little spending, users who spend at least $60.00 on any games, avatars, movies, or Playstation Home items this month will also receive $10.00 back. Those eight games, by the way, are:

  • Eufloria ($9.99) – “An addictive ambient game of space exploration and conquest, plant growth and bio mechanical evolution. Explore a beautifully realized universe rendered in a style that is unique and compelling.” Available October 4.
  • Rochard ($9.99) – “A fun and original space adventure game that features a resourceful hero, ominous villains, rugged machinery, big explosions, even bigger stunts and sharp one-liners.” Available October 4.
  • Sideway New York ($9.99) – “Help defeat Spray, a sinister tagger who wants to dominate both Sideway and the real world in this unique side-scroller that offers you the chance to leave your mark on the city.” Available October 11.
  • Sodium Collection ($9.99) – “Three high-speed PlayStation®Home games bundled together for the first time. Includes SodiumOne, Sodium 2, and Blaster’s Paradise with a variety of unlocks and upgrades packed right in.” Available October 13.
  • Okabu ($14.99) – “An action-puzzler, where players will guide Kumulo, Nimbe and four cloud-flying heroes as they battle to save their people and their world from the industrialized threat of the Doza. Dive into a hyper-tactile toybox world filled with a huge number of puzzles, playthings, adorable creatures and devious machines spread across an epic co-op campaign.” Available October 18.
  • RocketBirds ($11.99) – “Annihilate an evil penguin regime in this cinematic platform adventure game offering full solo and co-op campaigns with stereoscopic 3D support. Destroy enemies with a slew of weapons and illuminate the secrets to his past while uncovering the real enemies of Albatropolis.” Available October 18.
  • inFamous: Festival of Blood ($14.99) – “Vampires swarm New Marais, and revered superhero Cole MacGrath has been bitten. To save his soul and city, he has just one night to find and kill the head vampire. Featuring hours of new gameplay, themed environment settings and new characters/enemies, Festival of Blood explores the darker side of the inFAMOUS™ universe.” Available October 25.
  • PixelJunk Sidescroller ($9.99) -” Q-Games goes old-school with a completely retro side-scrolling shooter that reinvents the genre from the ground up while maintaining that nostalgic feeling. Dodge flurries of alien bullets and strategically upgrade weapons while battling through sweeping stages full of hazardous fluid and endless shooting mayhem.” Available October 25.
In addition to these titles, several classic games will be added October 4: God Hand, GrimGrimoire, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Odin Sphere, and Ring of Red.
For more information on these games, head on over to the Only On PSN website. And, because this is Sony, this promotion comes with it’s own set of Terms & Conditions if that’s your thing.
