There’s a posting for a German trademark that indicates that a new Fallout title is going to be announced: Fallout: Shadow of Boston. Too bad it’s fake.

For the most part, everything looks in order. Sure, the name sounds a little bit weird, but the filing otherwise passes the basic eye test. That being said, there were some problems that arouse before Bethesda denied it over Twitter.

Generally, Bethesda files their trademarks through Zenimax, their parent company. Fallout: Shadow of Boston was filed through Bethesda Softworks LLC. The biggest tip, though, came from the fact that there wasn’t any posting for a United States trademark.
Pending the miraculous, don’t expect any Fallout reveal from the VGXs next month. We’re probably still at least a year away from Bethesda announcing their next game.
