Last month, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed: Unity Season Pass holders would be eligible for a free game due to the game’s mess of a launch. Well, today is the day to grab your freebie.
Since its initial launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 11th, Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been plagued with issues ranging from broken gameplay mechanics to some other standard UI bugs. After five weeks and four patches later, Ubisoft’s efforts in stabilizing their latest Assassin’s Creed iteration isn’t looking too good.
As a means of apologizing to the community, the studio has promised that the game’s first major add-on, Dead Kings, will be made available for free to everyone. For those who had purchased the game’s Season Pass prior to Ubisoft’s announcement on November 27th, a free Ubisoft game is now available to download today.
There are loads to choose from depending on your preferred genre. There’s The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Rayman Legends, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag or Just Dance 2015.
It’s worth noting that the free game offer will expire on March 15th, 2015. That’s well over two months from now, so Assassin’s Creed: Unity Season Pass holders have plenty of time to choose their freebie.
To claim your free game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC, just head on over here and follow Ubisoft’s instructions.
