Nintendo once again preys on our weakness to buy themed video game accessories with a new Princess Peach Wii Remote Motion Plus. The new controller joins Mario and Luigi themed controllers, and it’s gloriously nerdy.
Coming shortly after the release of Super Mario 3D World for the Wii U, the Princess Peach controller is certainly more eye-catching than its less decorated counterparts. It sports two tones of pink, a yellow d-pad emulating the Princess’ blonde hair, and a crown pattern adorning the built in speaker. Like other first party controllers, it will also have Nintendo’s upgraded Wii Motion Plus tech, first introduced in 2009 for the original Wii. It’s bubbly, it’s silly and it’s all the more irresistible for that.
You can pick up one of your own starting April 24, when the Princess Peach Wii Remote Motion Plus launches in North America. Like other Wii controllers, it will carry a price of $39.99, and is fully compatible with both the Wii and Wii U.
