Prey Brings a Dark Space Odyssey in its New Trailer

Prey

Prey is coming back and looking better and better with each new trailer. Bethesda Softworks has certainly caught our attention with the last one, in which a female Morgan Yu makes her first appearance.

Get ready to plunge into a dark space odyssey. Bethesda Softworks has brought to light a new glimpse at the highly-anticipated Prey. And it’s looking pretty awesome. This one surprises also because of the confirmation that it brings:  we will be able to customize our experience by choosing the gender of Morgan Yu. Although it’s also important to mention that the sex of our protagonist will not impact the world around us. Our actions will.

With this trailer, Prey digs into the basics we already knew. In the game we will become Morgan Yu, a subject of morally dubious experiments designed to improve the human race. The whole story will develop on Talos I, the facility where they are keeping him/her. Our journey will take us to uncover the secrets of the facility while doing everything we can to dodge those alien attackers. Arkane is promising here big doses of actions and psychological twists.

Prey: an Unexpected Surprise

Rumors about the continuity of the Prey legacy were far from being silent some months ago. The fan base was not forgetting the Sci-Fi journey of the first one and they wanted (or rather demanded) more. Arkane did not disappoint and showcased during E3 with a trailer that made us go “wow”.  The game’s premise is different: way darker, way more confusing and maybe because of that, very captivating. In that way, Prey does not seem to be a sequel of the original title but rather, a complete new narrative, ready to plunge our gaming selves into a universe full of shocks and Sci-Fi terrors.

Prey will arrive to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017 although Arkane has yet to define a concrete date.
