Pokemon Sun and Moon Trailer Reveals Starters

We now have the release dates and information surrounding the three new starter Pokemon Sun and Moon thanks to Nintendo.

Earlier today, Nintendo posted a new trailer for the Pokemon Sun and Moon versions, which gave us the release dates for this highly anticipated 3DS exclusive. On November 18th, people in the U.S. can explore new areas within the Alola region and embark on another exciting Pokemon adventure. As for our U.K. friends, Sun and Moon won’t launch until November 23rd.

The trailer also shows off the three starting Pokemon players will chose from before starting their journey. Rowlet, the owl Grass/Flying type, the kitten Fire-type Litten, and dog/seal Water type Poppilo will be the choices for the newest titles. Also revealed is the Alola region, modeled after the Hawaiian islands and visually rather similar to the artistic design of the previous Pokemon titles on 3DS, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.

During the trailer, we got our first look at the cover art for the two versions, which also showed two currently unknown legendary Pokemon. In Pokemon Sun and Moon, human character designs have been given an overhaul made to create more realistic body proportions.

Besides what the tiny amount of information revealed during the trailer, we know next to nothing about what Sun and Moon has in store for us. Though with E3 on the way, it’s highly probable Nintendo will shed more light on what changes Pokemon Sun and Moon will bring to prospective Pokemon trainers.
