Pokemon GO Begins Next Month| E3 2016

Either before or during next month, iPhone and Android owners will be able to download Pokemon Go: Nintendo’s daring new AR title.

This information came yesterday from Nintendo’s Treehouse Live Event at E3 in the Los Angeles Convention Center. None other than Nintendo’s very own Shigeru Miyamoto was there to showcase the Pokemon GO Plus device, which is an optional accessory used in conjunction with the Pokemon GO app.

The device itself is a Bluetooth accessory wristwatch lookalike that allows the player to discover and capture Pokemon without the constant need to look at phones every five minutes. It was revealed during the stream that the Pokemon GO Plus device should be available by July and will cost players $35. That’s the price for the Plus device, not the app itself as the app is free of charge.

It was also discussed during the stream about how a Bluetooth accessory help would-be trainers capture Pokemon. Whenever a Pokemon is nearby to the wearer, the Plus device will flash green and vibrated to alert the wearer. From here, the wearer can capture wild Pokemon using the Plus device. If a capture is successful, the Plus device will flash in a rainbow-like fashion, but if the capture does not succeed, the Plus device will flash red instead. Gameplay footage for Pokemon GO was shown and as it currently stands, when Pokemon GO comes out in July, only Pokemon found in the Red and Blue versions of Pokemon will be available.

Unfortunately, when the game launches in July, trading options won’t be accessible. Nintendo wanted to make sure that the core game functioned excellently before implementing trading between trainers.

Depending on how successful Pokemon GO turns out, it’s highly possibly we’ll see more Pokemon from other versions to be implemented here.
