A tweet put out by Treyarch earlier this evening provided some good news to PlayStation 4 users who have not put down a pre-order on their next title, the Black Ops III beta will now be open for all users on the Sony platform.
Originally touted as a reward for players willing to put down a preorder on the next entry of the highly successful franchise, the beta has been running on the PS4 since earlier this week (a benefit thanks to Activision’s new “first on PlayStation” deal that will bring all DLC first to Sony’s family of consoles as timed exclusives). Now though, with a single day left in the beta period, anyone curious to try out the next evolution to the series popular multiplayer mode will have a chance to do so with no commitment at all.
Having just expanded the Black Ops III beta to feature 8 gameplay modes, 4 maps, 8 playable specialists, and allowing players to level up to, the beta gives players a decent chunk of the final product to sample.
The Black Ops III beta is now accessible to all PlayStation 4 users
If anyone is interested in playing the beta, but does not own a PlayStation 4 console, the beta period for both the Xbox One and PC will begin a few short days after the PlayStation beta, starting on August the 26th and ending on the 30th. Though at the moment a preorder is still required for both platforms.
