When You Play Telltale’s Game of Thrones This Week, You Win Or You Die

Just a week after Tales from the Borderlands, Telltale is back with Game of Thrones.

The highly anticipated six part episodic adventure game based on the HBO show arrives this week. You play as House Forrester, a noble family loyal to House Stark. It promises “bloody warfare, revenge, intrigue and horror.” Basically a normal day in Westeros. The Seven Kingdoms is tearing itself apart during the War of the Five Kings. As House Forrester struggles to survive, your choices will determine their fate.

Expect familiar locations and characters, with King’s Landing, The Wall, Cersei, and Tyrion being among them. The focus however, is on telling a whole new story within the world of Westeros, focused on House Forrester. Lord Gregor Forrester is the intimidating Lord of Ironrath. An imposing fifteen hundred year old stronghold surrounded by towering Ironwood trees.

When you play Telltale’s Game of Thrones, you win or you die.

The epic scope of Game of Thrones increased the number of characters and episodes Telltale usually make. With six episodes and five playable characters, this promises to be their most ambitious project yet. Approved by HBO and overseen by George R.R. Martin’s former assistant, Telltale has worked hard to make this an authentic addition to the Game of Thrones universe. Each episode is scheduled to be around 4 to 6 weeks apart and will last around two hours each.

Game of Thrones – A Telltale Game Series is from the developers of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. It brings likenesses and voice actors from the HBO show. Episode One – Iron From Ice is coming to PC, Mac and PS4 on Dec 2, Dec 3 on X360 and XONE, Dec 4 on iOS and Dec 9 on PS3.

Check out the new Launch Trailer for Episode 1: Iron From Ice below.
