Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is a game that has been buzzing in the back of minds since we got our hands on at E3 2011. Today, Ubisoft confirmed the North American and European release date for the title as well as laying to rest the fact that Future Soldier will be available on PC’s as well.
A multiplayer beta is due in April for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles and the game is slated for a release date of May 22, 2012 (NA) and May 24, 2012 (EU). No release date for the PC has been announced yet.
“Ubisoft prides itself on creating some of the most compelling and innovative experiences in digital entertainment,” said Adrian Lacey, IP development director at Ubisoft Studios France. “Today we are feature complete in our multi-player, single-player and four-player co-op campaign modes. We have made the decision to move the date in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience. The Ghost Recon franchise is known for setting the standard of high definition gaming and we believe the extra couple of months will allow us to reach that goal. We would like to thank all Ghost Recon fans for their patience and look forward to unveiling some exciting new elements in the coming weeks.”
