To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Beyond: Two Souls. I’d seen screen shots, and I’d read snippets here and there, but I didn’t really have a great idea of what the game was going to feel like when I got my hands on it. All that changed at PAX Prime this year because, well, I got my hands on it.
Observe:
As covered in the original PAX Prime post of Beyond: Two Souls, the game is clearly heavily focused on a narrative that would seem to allow the player a fair amount of agency within the story. It’s tense, and it’s dark, and it’s about a poor girl who’s not exactly too high on life.
No humor in this game, it’s all very serious face.
