Overwatch and Uber Team Up for PAX East

UberWatch

If you need to get to PAX East in style and don’t have a ride of your own on the 22nd to the 24th, maybe you’ll be lucky enough to catch a ride with one of the members of Blizzard’s Overwatch, thanks to a collaboration with Uber they’re calling UberWATCH.Overwatch’s release date of May 24th is quickly closing in and their massive free open beta is happening on the 5th. Blizzard Studios has teamed up with Uber to bring those attending PAX East a taste of three heroes and three amazing cars.

The directions are simple.

  1. Download Uber
  2. Request UberWATCH
  3. Head to the designated pick up area
  4. Get randomly matched with one of three heroes.

All directions on where to meet and greet your hero are on the Uber site, but basically head to the Convention Center and if you’re lucky you’ll get picked up by Tracer, D.Va or Solider 76. Each of these heroes has a pretty amazing ride; Solider 76 will be driving a Ford F650 Supertruck, D.Va will be driving a hot pink Polaris Slingshot and for those really lucky few you can get in the car with Tracer who will be driving a Lamborghini Aventador, seen above. Seriously.

UberWatch, Overwatch

This is bound to be a hot event so it’s going to be packed. If you don’t get the pick up right away don’t worry, just keep trying the app and eventually you’ll be “saved.” For all the silly promotional opportunities associated with PAX, and there are many of them, this is one of the coolest we’ve seen.

Overwatch is set for release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on May 24.
